Ryan got a 3rd place finish in the 65 cc 7-9 year old group, and 3rd place in the pee-wee class (by only racing 1 race!)

First day of 2nd Grade for Ryan!

The first day of school was August 18th. Ryan was probably the happiest kid at school that day! He was so excited. I can't figure out why Allie didn't want her picture taken at school her first day, having your picture taken by you parents at high school wouldn't be that embarrassing.

Yard makeover

We have been working on fixing our backyard most of the summer. It was destroyed last year when we had our pool put in. In the before picture with all the dirt, that is how the whole area looked, nothing but dirt. But after a lot of physical labor and 200 - 25 pound blocks and tons of dirt and rocks, we are getting there!! The back of the pool still need more dirt and another tea olive tree, and we would like to put a palm tree in the large area.

Disney World: Typhoon Lagoon

We went to Disney World this weekend to celebrate the nearing of the end of summer! We went to the Disney water park Typhoon Lagoon, and everyone loved it! There were lots of water slides, a HUGE wave pool with 6 ft waves, a very cold salt water shark roof for snorkeling, a toddler area with slides and fountains, and a lazy river that put Matthew to sleep. And of course ice cream! We also saw Stitch and Matthew loved him (unlike Ryan at his age!
